BeanTalk is a mobile app for home coffee lovers in Australia. It helps users save money through local group buying and connects them in a community to share brewing tips, latte art, and experiences — making coffee more affordable, social, and accessible.

BeanTalk is a mobile app that helps home coffee lovers save money and connect with others. It introduces a location-based group buying system, allowing users to join local coffee bean orders and enjoy free shipping once the group is complete. This makes specialty coffee more affordable, convenient, and accessible for everyone.
The idea was inspired by Australia’s strong coffee culture and the growing trend of home brewing due to rising café prices. BeanTalk aims to make high-quality coffee part of daily life again — through shared orders, local connections, and community engagement.
The project followed a user-centered design approach, starting with research and user flow mapping in Miro, followed by wireframing and medium-fidelity prototyping in Figma. The final high-fidelity prototype features a warm beige and soft coffee-toned palette, reflecting comfort, simplicity, and the atmosphere of a cozy café. After user testing, the design was refined with clearer typography, improved chat layouts, and a new social sharing feature for group buys.
