Pacer aims to transform running into a welcoming experience rather than a daunting task for newcomers. Pacer employs a supportive, data-driven approach to customise training sessions, avoiding the one-size-fits-all approach that many conventional apps take. This is where it begins.

Pacer is a user-centred running application designed to assist non-runners in cultivate a supportive and positive relationship with running. Through positive reinforcement, it emphasises the user’s emotional experience and acknowledges progress that goes beyond data and statistics. The app invites users to check in with how they feel before and after each run, establishing a mindful connection between their emotions and performance. As Pacer’s purpose is to create a personal and motivating environment, it encourages users to connect with running at their own pace. Conceptually, Pacer positions itself as a digital companion rather than a performance tracker. This approach transforms running from a purely physical activity into a holistic experience for new runners.
